An Opportunity for Change for AHNC: We Need to Hear from YOU!

We wanted to let you know about some important changes that AHNC will be undergoing in the next few months. Recently, the AHNC Steering Committee was informed that WithinReach will be unable to extend their contract to be the fiscal agent and home for the coalition after the current contract ends on June 30.

Our Steering Committee has been discussing options for a future home for the coalition. We see this as an exciting opportunity to revisit our vision for the coalition and for anti-hunger policy work overall in Washington state. AHNC will continue to provide core functions that are assets to your advocacy for ending hunger in Washington while exploring possibilities of expanding how the coalition can be of even more value to our members and the communities we represent.

We need to hear from you at this critical time.

Your interest in the coalition, your ideas, your opinions-these are all crucial to the coalition as we look at ways to restructure and reorganize. Please help us by doing the following:

1. Mark your calendar for our next AHNC General Membership Meeting:

When: Tuesday, May 13, 2:30-4:30 p.m.

Where: WithinReach Conference Room (155 NE 100th St #500, Seattle, WA 98125)

Conference Phone: 712.432.0900, code: 677657

2. Please ask a representative who has decision-making authority at your organization to attend our May meeting with you. As we plan for the coalition’s future, we want to hear from our membership about your commitment to the coalition and ability to invest resources to meet its goals.

3. Next week, you will receive a survey from AHNC that will help us assess how the coalition helps your organization and what we can do better. Please complete the survey when the notice arrives in your inboxes.

If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact either Co-Chair. Our phone numbers are listed below.

Thank you for your interest and commitment to AHNC. We hope to see you on the 13th!
